Puddle Jumping is an experimental folk-rock band from Powell, Wyoming, blending lo-fi warmth with surreal storytelling and restless melodic shifts. Led by songwriter Orion LaMar, the band’s music drifts between tender acoustic moments, warped indie rock, and playful left-turns that feel both intimate and unpredictable.
Originally a solo project, Puddle Jumping evolved into a full band with Christian Hayes, Ash Heck, and Cody Champlin, shaping a collaborative sound influenced by artists like Alex G, Ween, Beck, and Prosperity Lanes. Their releases—There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly (Deluxe Edition) (2023), Philosophical Ultra-Snails Reincarnating in Egypt (2024), and Prancing Towards Milk & Honey (2025, with Prosperity Lanes)—highlight a steady growth in scope while staying rooted in a handmade, emotionally direct approach.
Milli Bear is an alternative singer/songwriter who writes imaginatively personal songs with enigmatic lyrics and chaotic stylings, drawing from inspirations as varied as jazz, history, and gothic literature. She self-accompanies on piano and ukulele, playing in a unique and expressive style that defies genre conventions. Whether she’s executing frenzied piano solos or belting out heartfelt anthems, Milli Bear gives a performance full of energy, drama, and feeling that uses music to express what words alone cannot.
